When do the Paris Olympics Start?
The Paris Olympic Games begin with the opening ceremony on July 26 and the closing ceremony on August 11.
However, the first competition actually commences on July 24 football and rugby sevens, with archery and handball starting on July 25.

The 2028 Olympic Games will be held in Los Angeles, USA from July 14-30.
How many times has Paris hosted the Olympics?
This is the third time Paris has hosted the summer Olympic Games. Paris previously staged the Games in 1900 and 1924.
Where will the Olympics be held in Paris?
The 2024 Olympic Games will be held across France and even Tahiti, where surfing will take place at the famed reef break of Teahupoo. How to get tickets for Paris 2024 Olympics?
Tickets went on general sale late last year after two lottery rounds and are available through the official Games website at tickets.paris2024.org. Available on a first come, first served basis, the allocation for many sports and individual sessions has already been exhausted but there are many events still open. There will also be periodic “surprise” releases in the coming months as surplus tickets are returned to the pool and stadium seating plans are finalised.

Tickets cost from 24 euros ($40AUD) for football preliminaries to 2700 euros ($4455) for the opening ceremony and are only available from the official Games website at tickets.paris2024.org
How to buy Opening Ceremony tickets?
While it’s been scaled back from an event originally planned to host up to two million people, the opening ceremony along the River Seine will have 326,000 ticketed spectators, including 104,000 who have paid for places and 222,000 on “higher stands” with free tickets. Paid tickets are available from the official Games website from 90-2700 euros ($150-$4455). Tourists will not be able to access the free tickets, with these available to French citizens on an invitation-only basis.
