A triple header on Sunday decided the make-up of the quarterfinals. England booked a date with PNG after they beat the French 36-6 in Perth. Earlier in the day the Kumuls disposed of the USA, posting a commanding 64-0 win in front of their home crowd. Ireland were too good for Wales in their dead-rubber, capping off an impressive campaign with a 34-6 win. Despite winning two of their pool matches, Ireland miss out on a start in the finals.
