Wild weekend of international rugby league as footy fans turned pitch invaders go rogue

There were several pitch invaders at Saturday’s rugby league internationals, but they all met their match in hilarious fashion.

The NRL is taking a break this weekend but there has still been plenty of action with several rugby league internationals taking place ahead of tonight’s State of Origin Game 2.

New Zealand defeated Tonga, Samoa thrashed Cook Islands and Papua New Guinea beat Fiji on Saturday.

But footy wasn’t the only entertainment on display, with pitch invaders making their way onto the field at all three games before inevitably being wrangled by security.
