Anthony Milford moves into second place on Dally M leaderboard

ANTHONY Milford has moved into second place on the Dally M leaderboard after polling three votes against Manly.

ANTHONY Milford has closed the gap at the top of the Dally M leaderboard and now trails Josh Hodgson by just two points.

The brilliant Brisbane five-eighth polled three votes for his star turn in the Broncos 30-6 win over Manly.

Hodgson has held the lead for much of the season but the Raiders dummy half has not polled a vote in his last two matches and has seen his buffer at the top gradually shrink.

The Englishman still leads on 13, Milford sits two points back at 11 while Andrew Fifita and Michael Ennis were joined in equal third on 10 by Cameron Smith, who scored three votes in the Storm’s win over North Queensland.

Smith has previously won the medal in 2006.

Corey Norman and Jason Taumalolo are next, both on nine, while Apisai Koroisau, Josh Dugan, Greg Inglis, Bryce Cartwright and Jesse Bromwich are all on eight.

Four-time winner Johnathan Thurston has six votes so far this season while Manly halfback Daly Cherry-Evans has just one.
