Incoming Titans coach Des Hasler has had another big win, with representative prop forward Moeaki Fotuaika signing a contract extension to keep him on the Gold Coast until 2027.

The 23-year-old is the latest Titans player to commit to the club after superstar forwards Tino Fa’asuamaleaui and David Fifita signed mega extensions last month, with the skipper locked in for the next 10 years on a deal worth a reported $12m.

Fotuaika is coming off another brilliant season and claimed the Paul Broughton Medal as the Titans’ best player, while he also earnt a State of Origin recall.

“I’m excited to extend my time here at the Titans, especially with the roster that we have,” Fotuaika said.

“I have long-term close mates here and even the boys I’ve just met I’ll call friends forever.

“It’s nice to be settled, especially to have signed on for another three seasons.

“Having had a son recently, I can now build my family here on the Gold Coast.

“I’m looking forward to coming back in the pre-season and getting to work alongside the boys.

“We’ve got some exciting young players mixed with some experienced heads and I think we can take it to the next level in 2024.”

The news comes just days after the Eels re-signed Bryce Cartwright and Wiremu Greig for another two seasons.

Greig recently claimed Parramatta’s rookie of the year award after a breakout season in the middle, while Cartwright had his best year at the club and looks settled on the right edge playing outside Mitch Moses.

“I never wanted to go anywhere else,” the back-rower said.

“I love this club. I’ve got some really close friends here, I love Brad (coach Brad Arthur) and all the coaching staff.”
