Tom Trbojevic’s return date revealed by Manly
Manly have revealed Tom Trbojevic’s return date after the superstar fullback was sidelined with a knee injury.
Manly superstar Tom Trbojevic is expected to miss a month - including Sunday’s blockbuster clash with Melbourne - after suffering a minor medial collateral ligament tear.
Trbojevic hobbled from the field at halftime in Manly’s win over Parramatta at 4 Pine Park on Sunday afternoon.
He looked troubled in the first half before staying on the bench in the second 40 minutes due to a left knee injury.
Scans on Monday confirmed the star No.1 would spend more time on the sidelines and was expected to miss around four weeks.
“Tom Trbojevic is expected to miss about four weeks of football after injuring his knee in Sunday’s victory over Parramatta Eels at 4 Pines Park,” the club said in a statement.
The Sea Eagles are flying high in second spot after winning three of their opening four, including their win over the Eels during which they shrugged off the turmoil surrounding the Daly Cherry-Evans saga.
