THERE are reports a Brisbane Broncos player is the latest NRL star to be caught on film behaving badly.

Seven News and The Courier Mail reported someone was offering to sell footage to media outlets allegedly showing a Bronco taking cocaine, with an asking price of more than $50,000.

According to Seven, the clip shows a person lean over a toilet seat and snort a substance presumed to be cocaine. However, the network said the player can’t be categorically identified because he only faces the camera for a very short period of time.

The player alleged to be in the clip denied doing anything untoward when contacted by the Broncos.

The Courier Mail reported the person filming the incident can be heard in the video threatening to sell the vision to the media, before the alleged player asks him not to, claiming: “It will ruin my career.”

The incident is alleged to have taken place after the Broncos’ loss to the Bulldogs in Sydney in late June.

The NRL was made aware of the tape’s existence earlier this week and is waiting for further information to emerge before deciding whether any action needs to be taken.

Corey Norman has been in the news for all the wrong reasons.
Corey Norman has been in the news for all the wrong reasons.

This news comes at the end of a week in someone tried to sell a video showing Parramatta five-eighth Corey Norman involved in a sex act with a woman, and another in which people in the same room as Norman appear to be taking drugs.

There is no suggestion Norman himself was involved in any illegal activity, but it was yet another controversy he and the Eels could have done without in a tumultuous season. The person with the videos was reportedly asking media outlets for $150,000 for the footage.

Norman was fined $400 and stood down for this weekend’s clash against the Panthers following his conviction for drug possession on Wednesday. The 25-year-old pleaded guilty to the charge after being found with capsules upon trying to enter Sydney’s Star Casino earlier this year.
