CRAIG Bellamy is at a crossroads. Continue building his legacy at Melbourne Storm or move to the Dragons for a whole new challenge?

He says it's a 50/50 decision at the moment and he needs to have an answer this month.

"The important thing is, I don't want this dragging on and on," Bellamy said.

"The decision needs to be made in January or certainly before we go to England for the World club challenge."

To help make a difficult choice a little easier, Sydneysider Cameron Tomarchio has come up with five reasons for Bellamy to make the move north, while Melburnian Ben Broad provides five compelling reasons to stay...

WHY BELLAMY SHOULD TO COME TO SYDNEY

1. DOES SIR ALEX COACH IN KAZAKHSTAN?

Get amongst it. Sydney is rugby league's heartland, especially down Kogarah way. Think about the derbies and people actually knowing who you are and what you're about. And don't take this the wrong way, but you're not Justin Bieber, so I'm pretty sure you'll still be able to walk down the street without a throng of security guards.

2. NEW CHALLENGE

If you want to be remembered as one of the greatest, show you can produce the goods without your golden trio. And escape the stigma of all the salary cup stuff. There, I said it...

3. $1.2 MILLION A SEASON

Pretty good coin. Even more than Wayne Bennett earned at the Dragons. You're already one up on him. You say this will be your last hurrah – might as well make as much as you can, while you can, before settling into retirement.

4. SUPERCOACH BATTLE

Benny arrived at the Dragons and immediately had the Red V flying, securing two minor premierships and a grand final success. Show you've got what it takes as well.

5. THE SHIRE
God's country, mate. Need I say more? The sun even shines here...

WHY BELLAMY SHOULD STAY IN MELBOURNE

1. DID GLEN BOSS EVER JUMP OFF MAKYBE DIVA?

Why would the coach walk out on a club that's used to winning? Fresh from a premiership and favoured to go back-to-back in 2013, Bellamy has the plumb job in world rugby league.

2. ANONYMITY

Bellamy and the Storm boys may not get recognised walking down Lygon Street or when they're out at a day at the races, and they like it that way. In Melbourne the coach can go about his business undisturbed and without the media attention that may distract their ultimate focus. The whole one club, one town thing is a blessing, not a burden. Do you think you'll get the same peace walking through the mall in Hurstville, Craig?

3. SLATER, SMITH, CRONK

These pivotal three could be three separate reasons on their own, so good is each of them as individuals. But put them together and what have you got? Three integral pieces of a premiership jigsaw puzzle. Bellamy loves them like his own children, and has said he'd rather chew his arm off than coach against them. Or something like that anyway.

4. LEGACY

Bellamy will leave one if he leaves the Storm next week or sometime in the next decade. But he has the chance to further enhance his name at the club he helped make a power of the competition. Something tells me despite everything he's already achieved, he's hungry to take this group further and confirm his name among the greatest coaches the game has known.

5. LIFESTYLE

Melbourne v Sydney. C'mon Craig, the choice is simple. Would you like a decent coffee or some dirty water with a sugar? Passionate fans or those that will take it or leave it?

Now the Dragons will try to sell you with the old 'have you seen our beautiful harbour?' line. Granted, it is gorgeous. But I'll give you a tip, Craig. You go there twice a year at most - and it'll take you an hour to get there in the traffic from Kogarah.
