Russell Crowe’s $20 dagger will leave Roosters ‘fuming’
He may have lost the best young talent in the NRL to the Roosters, but Russell Crowe has a surprise up his sleeve that will leave his rivals “fuming”.
Year after year, the bad blood between South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Sydney Roosters continues to grow.
New chapters are being written in the famous Book of Feuds between the two oldest clubs in the Australian game.

Whether it’s Angus Crichton’s move across Anzac Parade or Joseph Suaalii’s defection to the Chooks late last year, a fresh tale in the rivalry is always ready to be written.
Last year Souths wiped the floor with the Chooks on the eve of the finals series.
The Rabbitohs spanked the Roosters 60-8 at ANZ Stadium with Alex Johnston scoring five tries.
And as the rivalry shows no sign of slowing down, Souths owner Russell Crowe has a novel plan to remind the Roosters of the Rabbitohs’ dominance in last year’s fixture.
Crowe was back at Redfern Oval on Monday as Souths get ready to face the Storm in Thursday’s season opener in Melbourne.
It involves cheap T-shirts and is sure to leave Roosters owner Nick Politis “fuming”.

Speaking on the Big Sports Breakfast, Nine reporter Danny Weidler said: “He has got a very interesting plan coming up for Round 3 when the Rabbitohs play the Roosters.
“He’s behind a marketing idea to put out T-shirts with the 60-8 scoreline when Souths beat the Roosters last year.
“He wants to sell those and the club are going to get right behind him.
“I reckon Nick Politis and the Roosters will be fuming about all of this.
“If you want a good build-up to a game, it’s going to centre around the Roosters and the Rabbitohs coming up very soon. Those T-shirts, I reckon they’ll be selling like hotcakes.”
