South Sydney Rabbitohs star Cody Walker will not feature in rounds three and four of the 2020 NRL premiership after he copped a two-week suspension for the street fight video.

Walker has also been handed a suspended $15,000 fine from the NRL for the incident.

The 30-year-old was filmed kicking another man in the chest during a fight in Casino last December. He reportedly told Rabbitohs coach Wayne Bennett about the incident at the time.

Walker will miss next Friday’s game against the Sydney Roosters and the following away match against the Melbourne Storm in early June.

The Rabbitohs have been fined $20,000 for not disclosing Walker’s incident to the NRL’s integrity unit. Meanwhile, Bennett has avoided a fine.

“All clubs and club officials have a duty to report any incident which may lead to a breach of NRL rules, including suspected breaches, and NRL Clubs are responsible for ensuring compliance,” the NRL said in a statement.

Souths also released a statement on Friday afternoon revealing they had five days to respond to the beach notice.

“The South Sydney Rabbitohs have confirmed the receipt of a breach notice regarding noncompliance with the NRL’s Code of Conduct from the NRL today,” the statement read.

“The Club has five days to respond to the breach notice and will be taking that time to consider its position.

“The Rabbitohs have no further comment to make at this time.”

Walker contacted Mascot police on Sunday after a blackmailer reportedly contacted his manager requesting $20,000, threatening to share the footage to media outlets.

The New South Wales Blues star also has five days to respond to the breach notice.

“Whatever decision the game, the club, anyone come up with, that is what is going to happen,” Walker told Channel 9 on Monday.

“I will not be appealing. I am very, very sorry.”
