Supporters barracking for their favourite NRLW team in the grand final have been left disappointed with the lack of merchandise on offer at Accor Stadium.

The thousands of fans pouring into Accor Stadium hoping to cheer on the Gold Coast Titans or the Newcastle Knights in the NRLW grand final on Sunday were unable to purchase any women’s teams merchandise ahead of the game.

It’s understood the issue of merchandise available at the stadium for the women’s grand final was raised early on but was seemingly dismissed to focus on the men’s grand final.

There was either no women’s merchandise available within the stadium grounds or it was very hard to find even if one or two stalls stocked Titans or Knights goods.

It comes as the crowd more than doubled for the women’s 4pm game, hours before men’s grand final kick-off at 7.50pm.

Even the teams websites were lacklustre when it came to donning the jersey or waving a flag to support the respective women’s teams.

Knights fans could pre-order a 2023 finals T-shirt in black or white on the club website for $39.95, which were still available to purchase online ahead of the game.

Titans fans on the other hand no longer could order their teams 2023 finals T-shirt, with orders only open for 24 hours from September 17.

The lack of merch options meant thousands of fans who packed Accor Stadium on Sunday to watch the women’s grand final were unable to fly their flags in support.

Queensland fans hoping to cheers on the Titans were even spotted forced to wave their Broncos flags instead to barrack for the women.

Accor Stadium has been contacted.
