ALMOST half of SuperCoaches face a potentially season-defining decision this week - whether to hold or sell South Sydney superstar Sam Burgess.
The big Pom has been ruled out for up to six weeks following an arthroscopy to clean out his knee.
His latest setback comes on the back of missing almost all last year due to injury, and three weeks earlier in the season with a medial ligament issue.
Nonetheless, Burgess remains an elite SuperCoach player, boasting the fourth highest average of any front-rower in the comp.
In fact, he’d be the third best front-rower in the game if it wasn’t for an injury-affected 17 in round five. He is therefore a definite hold for head-to-head players as he is an essential commodity for the SuperCoach finals, which take place in rounds 23-26.
But overall players face a tougher decision.
