Controversial NRL star Tyrone May has been filmed using an offensive slur during a teammate’s Instagram live Q+A.

May has had a tumultuous week following Penrith’s grand final win on Sunday night, having earlier attracted a backlash surrounding a deleted Instagram caption that appeared to reference his sex tape scandal.

Rumours have also spread this week that May is in a romantic relationship with Panthers coach Ivan Cleary’s daughter Indi.

He has now been filmed by teammate Viliame Kikau during the team’s premiership celebrations using an offensive term to respond to trolls who made reference to his sex tape scandal while asking a question to the Panthers forward.

Kikau does not say anything offensive in the clip that is spreading across cyber space.

The video shows May approaching the camera alongside Kikau before saying: “I don’t give a f***. F*** every motherf***er, n***er”.

In November 2019 May pleaded guilty to four counts of intentionally recording an intimate image without consent. In January 2020, the magistrate slammed his “reprehensible” conduct as he was handed a three-year good behaviour bond and ordered to perform 300 hours of community service.

At the time of sentencing Magistrate Robyn Denes told Parramatta Local Court: “This behaviour is not only morally reprehensible, it’s criminal.

“Ultimately, this is an offence which takes what was consensual sexual acts to another level. It does breach trust.”

May has also been filmed during the team’s celebrations showing off his premiership ring for Instagram users.

During Kikau’s live Q+A, the 26-year-old Fijian is also seen mocking grand final rivals South Sydney.

Kikau is seen singing the Rabbitohs’ club song ‘Glory, Glory to South Sydney’.

May, meanwhile, has since deleted any mention of the caption he had used to spark a social media backlash this week.

The caption included lyrics from the song Fair Trade by Canadian rapper Drake.

“And the dirt that they threw on my name/turned to soil and I grew up out it/time for y’all to figure out what y’all gon’ do about it,” the caption read.
