Eels star Jarryd Hayne paid tribute to his teammate.
"His (sic) gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers," the NSW Origin and Australian star posted.
Devastated Wests Tigers hooker Robbie Farah tweeted "Life can be so cruel".
Dual-code international Wendell Sailor posted his heartfelt condolences to Mannah's older brother and Eels' prop, Tim.
"@tim_mannah sorry to hear the very sad news about Jon, much love to the family & deepest condolences mate."
