AFTER scoring five tries last week, Valentine Holmes has croosed for SIX and the Kangaroos are out to a big lead against Fiji. Follow all the action live!
VALENTINE Holmes has scored six tries as Australia laid the smack down on Fiji to cruise into the World Cup final with a 54-6 win.
The Kangaroos produced their best display of the tournament, playing wonderful, free-flowing rugby league against the out of sorts Bati. Holmes backed up last week’s five try effort with six down the left side, equalling the all time Test record held by New Zealand legend Hugh McGahn. The Cronulla man now has 11 tries in his last two matches and 12 overall, surpassing Wendell Sailor’s single tournament record from 2000. Remarkably, he’s only two tries away from levelling Bob Fulton’s old record of 13 World Cup tries. Fulton’s record has since been surpassed by Billy Slater and Jarryd Hayne.
