The Brisbane Broncos have quietly confirmed the departure of TC Robati ahead of the 2023 NRL season.

Buried in a statement announcing the club had finalised its playing roster for the upcoming campaign, the Broncos revealed the playing future of the 21-year-old at Red Hill.

“As part of the process for finalising this season’s squad, forward TC Robati has been released from his contract with the club,” the statement read.

Robati’s release comes after the youngster found himself at the centre of a number of scandals.

On January 26, Robati was stopped by police and discovered he had allegedly been driving without a license, with the incident to be heard before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on March 2

Robati was also suspended from all Broncos duties in December after an alleged incident involving a woman at a Brisbane venue.

He was charged with one count of sexual assault as a result of the incident which occurred on December 21 in which he allegedly inappropriately placed his hand on a female.

Robati also was spared a conviction in 2021 when he dangerously swerved his car across several lanes after the Broncos’ Mad Monday festivities.

The Kiwi made 17 appearances across two seasons with the Broncos, but did not don the famous jersey after Brisbane’s round 14 clash against the Raiders last year.
