Jarryd Hayne and Parramatta star Nathan Brown have reportedly been involved in an ugly 2am incident at a western Sydney hotel on Sunday.

The pair are reported to have been involved in a heated verbal exchange out the front of the Albion Hotel in Paramatta as they left the venue around 2am.

The Daily Telegraph first reported Hayne and Brown, a former NSW State of Origin representative, were involved in a verbal confrontation with a local council worker.

The report details how Hayne and Brown responded to the road worker, who has been accused of making a disparaging comment towards Hayne.

The two-time Dally M Player of the Year is out on bail and is awaiting a third sexual assault trial.

The 34-year-old served nine months in prison after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman at her Newcastle home on NRL grand final night in 2018.

Jarryd Hayne went on an overseas holiday with former Eels teammates, including Nathan Brown, Michael Jennings, Mitchell Moses and Tim Mannah.

However, he walked out of Cooma Correctional Centre last month after having his conviction quashed by the Court of Appeal.

Meanwhile, the Eels have confirmed Brown was at the Albion Hotel with Hayne on Saturday night.

Brown played reserve grade football on Saturday after failing to be selected in Parramatta’s NRL team for their season-opener against the Titans.

Eels officials have made contact with Brown and — according to The Daily Telegraph — are asking for an explanation.

“There was definitely no physical violence,” an Eels spokesperson told The Telegraph.

“Jarryd got hassled by a road worker and Nathan stood up for his mate.”

NSW Police said there were no reports of an incident outside the hotel.

Hayne, meanwhile, had been bailed on the condition he forfeit $20,000 within seven days and report to Merrylands Police Station three days a week.

A hearing will be held on March 21 to determine the location of the upcoming trial with Hayne’s lawyers previously indicating they are seeking to shift the court proceedings to Newcastle.
