‘He’s trash’: Jarome Luai’s cheeky dig at Tigers teammate after victory over struggling Dolphins
Tigers star Jarome Luai has taken a chance to cheekily lay into his Tigers teammate after a huge 30-18 win over the Dolphins.
Tigers star Jarome Luai has taken a light-hearted dig at fellow co-captain Api Koroisau in a hilarious moment following their 30-18 win over the Dolphins.
Luai and Koroisau had just led the Tigers to their second straight win before grabbing the mics to interview with the Fox League panel.
NRL legend Cooper Cronk asked Luai about what he thought of Koroisau’s recent media appearances on Fox League.

Koroisau has appeared as a guest analyst during the Fox League broadcast at times over the past couple of seasons.
“He’s trash,” Luai responded jokingly as the pair and Cronk laughed.
“Nah he’s the man, he can do it all.”

Koroisau was the best on ground in the win over the Dolphins, scoring a try and setting up another in a crucial final 12 minutes which delivered his team a win.
And it was a performance that impressed coach Benji Marshall who praised his side’s resilience.
Speaking following their comeback win over the Dolphins in Round 3, Marshall conceded the preceding 80 minutes were “stressful,” but credited his team for their “fight and determination in the second half.”
“(There were) some big efforts from the boys to get us home,” Marshall said, singling out Samuela Fainu, Tallyn Da Silva, Royce Hunt, and Api Koroisau for their key involvements on the road to victory.
Incredibly, the Tigers conceded 750 points (31.25 per game) last season to record the NRL’s worst defence, en route to the wooden spoon; and so far in 2025 are conceding just 11.33, albeit from just three matches so far.
Marshall admitted he was “really proud” of his side’s performance, particularly their “resilience to keep fighting to the end against a really good Dolphins.”
“To just keep fighting, that’s the main thing,” he said.
“As a coach, that’s what you want them to do, fight to the death.”
