Following his retirement from rugby league at age 25 due to a spinal injury, Conn became the face and global athletic director of the wildly popular fitness franchise F45.

Conn has since become a celebrated mental health advocate and has bravely spoken publicly about his battles with depression and addiction.

Conn’s serious spinal injury changed his life and ended his footballing career. A decision to prioritise a surgical procedure ahead of his career was widely praised at the time as he looked to the future.

It is because of the surgery and the chronic pain at the time that Conn admits he became addicted to pain killers.

Conn was earlier this year in court after being charged over damage caused to a Sydney hotel room.

He last month received a torrent of support from social media users when he shared photos of him celebrating the birth of daughter Chilli Raine.

“Just when we thought our cups were full, this little piggy has stolen our hearts,” he began the heartwarming post.

“Your mummy and I are so lucky and grateful that you chose us. Life is Chill.”

He also shared a shirtless photo of him holding his newborn with a caption: “New favourite way to spend the weekend with my girls”.
