Banned Brisbane star Ezra Mam was back with his Broncos teammates on Tuesday in his first appearance since copping a nine-game ban.

The controversial sighting comes after Mam, 21, was handed the lengthy ban along with a $120,000 fine from the NRL and the Broncos after he was charged over a head-on collision which occurred on October 18.

Mam pled guilty to one count of driving while relevant drug is present in blood, and driving without a licence. He was handed an $850 fine and his license was disqualified for at least six months.

The incident saw Mam collide with an Uber driver who was carrying a woman and her four-year-old daughter.

The woman said her child had suffered a fractured hip in the collision with both also receiving seatbelt burns.

While Mam isn’t allowed to take the field until Brisbane’s Round 10 game against South Sydney, he is free to train with the squad throughout the ban.

On Tuesday he hit the training track as he worked closely with new Broncos signing Ben Hunt and veteran halfback Adam Reynolds.

The 21-year-old playmaker looked as fit as a fiddle as the Broncos went through pre-season training ahead of their season opener on March 6 against the Sydney Roosters.

With Mam only able to train, it’s expected Hunt will shift into his role at five-eighth for the opening nine weeks of the season.

Hunt joined the Broncos in a blockbuster move in November after parting ways with St George Illawarra.

The 34-year-old reportedly looked in peak condition as he tore up the training session at Red Hill.

Hunt trained in the halves and at hooker while the Broncos went through ball work drills with skipper Adam Reynolds watching on.

Reynolds, 34, underwent neck surgery after suffering nerve damage in a contact drill just before Christmas.

He is expected to miss a month of pre-season training, but is set to be right to go for Brisbane’s season-opener against the Roosters.

In a shock move the skipper is expected to line-up for the Broncos in their pre-season contest against the Bulldogs.

The move will see the Broncos deploy both Reynolds and Hunt in order for the duo to work on their familiarity alongside one another.
