Channel 9 presenter Danika Mason walked down the aisle in an awkward on-air moment, months after her wedding was called off.

Channel 9 sports presenter Danika Mason was stitched up in an awkward on-air stunt ahead of the NRL double-header in Las Vegas.

Mason hit the headlines in October last year after the cancellation of her wedding to personal trainer Todd Liubinskas, just three weeks before the pair were due to tie the knot in NSW’s Hunter Valley.

On Tuesday night however the presenter strolled down the aisle in a rather cheeky segment for the broadcaster.

Despite the awkward nature of it all, Mason handled the moment like a professional, even as she was serenaded by an Elvis impersonator.

“Las Vegas is one of the most iconic wedding destinations in the world,” Mason said as she walked down the aisle.

“Many have walked this aisle over a number of years to be married by none other than Elvis, and the Manly players have a competition going to see who will be next.”

Mason has moved on since the cancellation of her wedding and is reportedly dating Bulldogs NRL player Liam Knight.

Mason, 33, was seen “cuddling up” to Knight, 29, on a date at The Butler restaurant in Sydney’s Potts Point in early February.

A fellow diner told Daily Mail Australia the pair were cuddling up to each other during the date in full view of onlookers.

“Her demeanour was that of a relaxed woman enjoying a pre-season fling with a younger specimen; his was that of a deer in headlights,” the diner said.

The Bulldogs prop farewelled Mason at the airport before she flew out to Las Vegas as part of Channel 9’s coverage team.

Manly Sea Eagles star Jake Trbojevic could be the one to follow in Mason’s footsteps and walk down the aisle in Vegas.

Trbojevic popped the question to his girlfriend Alix Waddell before he jetted off to Vegas with his teammates.

While not much is publicly known about how long the pair have been together, players from around the NRL quickly jumped in to wish the couple well.

Alix posted the news on Instagram, writing simply: “We’re engaged.”

The news of Trbojevic’s proposal comes after teammate Reuben Garrick announced his engagement to long-term girlfriend Riley Wishart.

The couple shared a joint post on Instagram with Wishart showing off her new piece of jewellery.

“WE’RE ENGAGED,” they captioned the upload alongside a ring and heart emoji.
