The PERFECT 8 jackpot for round 24 has reached the huge figure of $210,000 — that’s life-changing money.
There’s only three weeks to go before the jackpot rolls over to next season so there’s no time to waste.
Here is a rundown on how easy it is to sign up. I mean, think of what you could do with all that cash …
Last week’s Perfect 8 looked like this:
Were you close? Never mind, on to trying to win the massive $210k in this week’s round of matches.
Eels v Titans (Thursday 7.50pm, ANZ Stadium)
Mitchell Moses 5/8 (Eels)
Moses had a stinker last weekend, but then again so did his entire team with Parramatta getting thrashed by the Knights at home. Let’s call that a blip on the radar and reference the fact that the Titans rank first in conceding the MOST points in the entire competition to the HFB, 5/8 and HOK positions. Load up on your Eels.
Other options: Corey Norman, Semi Radradra, Nathan Brown, Ryan James
SuperCoach experts Rob Sutherland and Dominic Burke analyse Round 24 of the NRL.
Rabbitohs v Warriors (Friday 6pm, ANZ Stadium)
Simon Mannering 2RF (Warriors)
Manners moved back to the middle last weekend and the points just always come when he lives there — it’s his happy place. This week, against the Rabbitohs whom he averages 63.9PPG across 13 career matches, Mannering is projected to score 82 points and that could well be unders if he manages a couple of attacking stats like last week.
Other options: Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Cody Walker, Alex Johnston, Angus Crichton
Broncos v Dragons (Friday 7.50pm, Suncorp Stadium)
Darius Boyd FLB (Broncos)
Having scored 71 points against the Sharks last time out, Boyd (and the Broncos in general) is hitting some seriously good form. With a career average against his former club of just 47PPG, we need to delve a little deeper to see the fact that last time he played the Dragons at home was round 22, 2016, where he scored 74 points. The left-edge attack is looking unstoppable with Milford, Moga, Oates and Boys combining, and Boyd may well be the beneficiary this week.
Other options: Gareth Widdop, Josh Dugan (rumours he will move to fullback with Aitken returning), Matt Gillett, Anthony Milford
Knights v Storm (Saturday 3pm, McDonald Jones Stadium)
Billy Slater FLB (Storm)
The last time I called Billy’s name against the Knights he dished up a 134-point monster, so naturally I wont be backing against the great man. Although the Knights are on a three-match winning streak, I still fully expect the Storm to get the job done with Billy, Smith and co. all scoring well. Slater is averaging 70PPG this season and closer to 80PPG over his past eight matches.
Other options: Cameron Munster, Cameron Smith, Josh Addo-Carr, Dane Gagai
Roosters v Tigers (Saturday 5.30pm, Allianz Stadium)
James Tedesco FLB (Tigers)
I REFUSE to pick anyone else when Teddy takes the field at the moment. Man, is he in some form. His 137 points in round 23 came without a try and notably included FIVE line break assists and 28 points in tackle busts in the stellar comeback victory over the Sea Eagles at Leichhardt. The Roosters are a much stingier opposition now that Jake Friend and Boyd Cordner are back from injury, but across his five career meetings with the highly ranked Roosters he averages 66PPG with upside well into the 100’s.
Other options: David Nofoaluma, Latrell Mitchell, Boyd Cordner, Jake Friend
Cowboys v Sharks (Saturday 7.30pm, 1300SMILES Stadium)
Jason Taumololo 2RF (Cowboys)
The reigning Dally M medal winner turned on the afterburners in round 23 against the Panthers, playing a noteworthy 77 minutes for 103 points including a try. The Cowboys are clinging on to the eighth spot on the table, and this match against the Sharks represents a huge fork in the road for their season. Enter Lolo. If he plays 70+ minutes as he has done the past two weeks, he is almost guaranteed to go 80+ in points with his amazing PPM. Taumololo v Gallen/Fifita on a Saturday night in Townsville, it’s going to be epic. Get on for Perfect 8, but also with the C in classic.
Other options: Paul Gallen, Andrew Fifita, Michael Morgan, Coen Hess (starting!)
Raiders v Panthers (Sunday 2pm, GIO Stadium)
Nick Cotric CTW (Raiders)
I picked Cotric last weekend against the Warriors for 100 points, and I’m backing him in again this week against the Panthers, against whom he scored 85 points against earlier this season in Bathurst. He’s an absolute shoo-in for the Rookie of the Year in NRL terms, and should be high on your list this week for Perfect 8 in what could be a shootout in the ACT.
Other options: Elliot Whitehead, Jordan Rapana, Jarrod Croker, Nathan Cleary
Bulldogs v Sea Eagles (Sunday 4pm, ANZ Stadium)
Tom Trbojevic CTW | FLB (Sea Eagles)
It’s hardly a surprise but the man with just about the highest upside of any player in SuperCoach gets the nod in the last game of the round against the hapless Bulldogs outfit conceding SuperCoach points at will. Turbo is averaging 73PPG this season, with two 130+ point scores in his past five games. Need I say more?
Other options: Dylan Walker, Matthew Wright, Daly Cherry-Evans, Chase Stanley
Will this be the week where someone takes home a huge wad of cash? Let’s hope so. Good luck!
