Remember the name.

Teen freak Coby Black has piled on 46 points as the Burleigh Bears produced one of the most insane scorelines ever recorded in rugby league on Saturday.

The Gold Coast club smashed all competition records with a 130-0 victory over Wide Bay Bulls at UAA Park in the Queensland Rugby League’s Mal Meninga Cup competition.

The U18’s league is the breading ground of Queensland’s best emerging footballers and there appears to be a few more freak talents coming through the Burleigh system.

The club piled on 70 unanswered points in the first half, and the massacre continued in the second half with a staggering 23 tries scored before the final siren sounded after 70 minutes.

Black finished with two tries and 19 successful conversions, to finish one try short of an individual haul of 50 points.

It was a field day for the team with Sunny Kama and Disharne Tonihi scoring four tries each and Phillip Coates finishing with a hat-trick.

While it has shattered all first-tier state league records, The Courier Mail reports rugby league has known more one-sided bloodbaths.

The York City Knights flogged the West Walsh Raiders 144-0 in the League One competition in 2018, while Barrow thrashed Nottingham City 138-0 in the 1994 Regal Trophy.

St George’s 91-6 caning of the Canterbury Bulldogs in 1935 remains the greatest win in Australian rugby league premiership history.

According to the record books, Black’s personal tally has equalled Panthers legend Greg Alexander’s feat of scoring 46 points, five tries and 13 goals, against France B in Lyon on the 1990 Kangaroo Tour.

News Corp reports Black is highly regarded at the Broncos and is viewed as Adam Reynold’s eventual successor at halfback.

He was signed by the Broncos on a development contract last year and was reportedly scouted by the Titans.

“Coby played really well and is obviously with the Broncos, same with Jett Bryce, Bears CEO Damian Driscoll said.

“That puts us into third spot on the ladder.

“It’s going to be tough to beat Redcliffe and Tweed but we’re in the finals.”

Black finished school at the end of 2023, attending Marsden State High School.
