Brisbane Broncos star’s vulgar interview exposes teammates

A Brisbane Broncos player has raised eyebrows after a vulgar interview saw him expose intimate details about his teammates.

Brisbane Broncos player Corey Oates has raised eyebrows after giving a low brow interview that saw him expose his teammates.

In a radio interview with KIISS 97.3 last week, the 29-year-old was questioned about his fellow Broncos teammates with the line of questioning turning towards who had the biggest manhood.

After initially offering up some reluctance to the question, Oates divulged behind the locker room door information and nominated teammate Jordan Riki.

While the vulgar nature of the interview didn’t sit well with listeners, Oates attempted to maintain a modicum of modesty.

The Broncos winger stated that not every player in the dressing room is strolling around “with nothing on” as he shirked at the line of questioning.

Despite the segment drawing the ire of some listeners, Riki was overjoyed when hearing he was named as the winner.

“I’m truly thankful for big Oatsy, I owe him a few beers,” Riki said to the Courier Mail.

“It helps me out maybe finding a wife.”

The Broncos remain contenders to win their first NRL premiership since 2006 after losing last year’s grand final to Penrith.

It’s not the first NRL player interview to raise eyebrows this season with Latrell Mitchell’s infamous post-game interview sending shockwaves through the league.

Mitchell’s expletive-laden chat with Triple M was slammed and saw the Souths fullback accused of disrespect.

“It’s alright mate, honestly f**k … It was s**t,” Mitchell began.

“In the first bit, just a hard game f**k, we showed what we were about. Honestly, they’re big boys, they’re competitors. No wonder why they come runner up last year so f**k, they’re building on that.

“I don’t care if I’m swearing boys, honestly.”

The NRL elected not to sanction Mitchell over the interview despite the widespread backlash from fans of the game.

“We encourage players to be themselves and be authentic,” NRL chief executive Andrew Abdo told The Sydney Morning Herald.

“However, they also know they are professionals and role models which means setting an example.

“When speaking to fans via media interviews, we have a responsibility to be respectful.”
