Brisbane Broncos player under investigation over alleged domestic violence incident
Brisbane Broncos have issued a statement, confirming a player is under investigation for an alleged domestic violence incident.
The Brisbane Broncos has broken its silence over allegations one of its players was involved in a domestic violence incident on Sunday.
The club confirmed it was made aware of a matter involving a player, which they referred to the NRL Integrity Unit.
“The health and wellbeing of all parties is paramount for our club, and support has been offered to those involved,” a spokesperson for the club said.
“At this stage, the Club is not in a position to comment further.”
No charges have been laid.
A NRL spokesperson said they were aware of the matter and were liaising with the Broncos.
A Queensland Police spokesperson told NewsWire that police were investigating a domestic violence report relating to an incident in Brisbane’s south on Sunday.
“Investigations into this matter are ongoing,” the spokesperson said.
“No arrests have been made and no one is in custody over the incident.”
