‘Absolutely horrible’: Roosters forward Victor Radley suffers suspected seizure at AAMI Park
In distressing scenes at AAMI Park, Roosters forward Victor Radley was left convulsing on the deck after suffering a suspected concussion.
In frightening scenes at AAMI Park, Sydney Roosters forward Victor Radley was left convulsing on the deck after suffering a suspected concussion against the Melbourne Storm on Friday evening.
The 24-year-old copped a heavy head-knock and collapsed to the floor after attempting a low driving tackle on Storm captain Jesse Bromwich in the 71st minute of Sydney’s tense 18-14 victory in Melbourne.
Replays suggested his head made contact with Bromwich’s elbow.

Referee Adam Gee immediately stopped play and trainers sprinted onto the field as Radley started shaking on the floor, prompting Melbourne halfback Jahrome Hughes to signal for extra medical support.
The footballer’s eyes rolled into the back of his head during the sickening episode.
“Radley’s in trouble here,” Fox League commentator Dan Ginnane said.
“They’re going to have to stop play here.
“Oh dear, they are ugly pictures.
“These are disturbing scenes, his wellbeing is the concern now.
“Boy oh boy, a moment of pause.”
Radley was stretchered off the ground in a medicab before play could continue.
A few minutes later, Fox League reporter Lara Pitt confirmed that Radley was sitting up and talking to the club’s medical staff in the sheds.
The talented lock, who has represented the Roosters 95 times since making his NRL debut in 2017, was later seen walking around the field and talking to his teammates.
“He remembers the whole game, except for the tackle,” Roosters coach Trent Robinson told reporters in the post-match press conference.
“It didn’t look good on the field.”
Fox League decided not to show replays of the incident due its distressing nature.
Victor Radley showed signs of convulsing/seizuring after suffering a concussion there. Despite the graphic nature of the incident the presence of immediate convulsions is not associated with adverse results (via scans/recovery time) or risk of future seizures. Hope he is OK

The Roosters held on for a famous victory to clinch their spot in the finals, defending for their lives as the Storm pressured their defensive line late in the game.
The visitors piled on the first 14 points of the game and did so in a breathtaking fashion.
After a David Nofoaluma dropped ball, the Roosters immediately went on the attack, earning a penalty 10 metres out for a gift two points to Sam Walker.
The Roosters soon had their first try on the board on the back of a superb team build up, which ended with winger Daniel Tupou touching down in the corner.
Tupou had a hand in keeping the Roosters momentum alive when he intercepted a Jahrome Hughes kick-for-touch on a penalty.
While Tupou succumbed to a groin injury moments later, the Roosters kept their foot on the pedal with the game’s second try.
A delightful Matt Lodge offload and a superb Luke Keary cross-field kick and Joseph Manu found stretched the Roosters lead to 14.
Manu was the star of the first half for the Roosters with 126 run metres.
The centre was smooth as silk and the Storm had no answer, whether he was running on the edge or through the middle.
Lodge, constantly booed by the Storm fans, was at his menacing best, racking up 119 run metres before half time.
A late try-saving tackle on Storm forward Kenny Bromwich by Nat Butcher and James Tedesco was the key moment in the game in the eyes of Robinson.
“Between Teddy and Nat Butcher there, I saw the space and I think Harry (Grant) threw it to Kenny and I was hoping he might throw it somewhere else, [but] he’s got good vision there,” Robinson said.
“It’s not always pretty, but you’ve got to be desperate and you have to come up with try savers to win big games and none more critical than that.”
