THOUSANDS of Philadelphia Eagles fans took to the streets to celebrate the teams win, one however had a moment he’d rather forget.

IT may have been a victorious day for the Philadelphia Eagles who secured a place in the Super Bowl for the first time in 13 years — but for one of their fans it ended pretty painfully.

Footage taken on the subway after the team’s crushing 38-7 win over the Minnesota Vikings shows a man running to try and catch the train as it pulls away from the station.

The packed carriage watches as the man in a green Eagles jersey races along the platform — only to be taken out by a concrete pillar, which he slams into and smacks his head.

The raucous train erupts into jeers as the man is completely floored and the service carries on without him.

The five-second clip was already viewed more than 22,000 times after an hour of being posted on social media.

It comes as Eagles fans took to the streets to celebrate their team’s win at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

The Eagles will be playing in their first Super Bowl since they lost to this year’s AFC champions the New England Patriots in 2005.

Earlier in the day, workers who jokingly called themselves the “Crisco Cops” greased light poles to prevent fans from climbing them.

During the fourth quarter, Philadelphia police posted an image of Crisco on Twitter.

While urging fans to celebrate responsibly, they wrote, “Now comes the time in the night where we must warn everyone about the dangers of Saturated Fats.”

But it didn’t stop some folk, who saw the greasy poles as a challenge and were filmed climbing traffic lights to the sounds of a cheering crowd.

Nick Foles shredded the best defence in the NFL on Sunday night to end Minnesota’s dream of playing in a home Super Bowl.

Instead it will be the NFC’s No 1 seed Philadelphia taking on AFC champions New England on February 4.

The Eagles took on the Patriots in their last Super Bowl appearance in 2005 — where they lost 24-21.

Brady and the Patriots came from 10 points down to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at Gillette Stadium.

British running back Jay Ajayi was kept fairly quiet but still managed to pick up 73 yards on the ground.

But the London-born 24-year-old will realise his Super Bowl dream on February 4 after being traded from Miami midway through the season.
