Two of the biggest names in world netball have made their mark in their Suncorp Super Netball debuts, helping their new teams to wins in the opening round and showing they will be among the players to watch this season.

Shooters Grace Nweke and Mary Cholhok helped the Swifts and Firebirds, respectively, to victory, pouring in goals in their team’s wins.

Both headed to the world’s best league with big reputations and walked the walk in the opening round but with the pair playing the same position, only one could make the experts’ team of the week.

Both though, are among nominees for best goal shooter of the round, a list that is littered with internationals, a few veterans and some rising stars.
