Melbourne and Brisbane will host games in this year’s Constellation Cup series between the Diamonds and New Zealand.

The four-game series will start at Melbourne’s John Cain Arena on October 12 and continue at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on October 15.

“We love playing in Australia in front of a home crowd,” Diamonds coach Stacey Marinkovich said.

“We hope to see sell out stadiums in Melbourne and Brisbane when we host the Silver Ferns in what is known as one of the greatest rivalries in elite sport.”

The series will be completed in New Zealand with matches in Invercargill (October 19) and Auckland (October 19).

The Diamonds won last year’s Constellation Cup courtesy of more goals (215 to 208) over the entire series, which finished with each nation winning two matches.
