‘Dreams have been broken’: Australia leaves Jamaica absolutely shattered
Australia is through to the Netball World Cup final after a result that has left the sport heartbroken for their opposition.
Australia will face England in the 2023 Netball World Cup final after a pulsating win over Jamaica on Sunday morning.
It was another almighty scare for the Diamonds after being knocked over by England earlier in the tournament.
The 57-54 victory saw Australia hand Jamaica its first defeat of the tournament.

Defender Courtney Bruce terrorised the Jamaican attack, coming up with a number of intercepts in the final dying minutes.
Australia had edged out to a three goal lead in the fourth quarter and then had to desperately hold on.
Player of the match Bruce said after the match: “We knew we had something to prove and some history behind us.
“It’s full focus on tomorrow.”
It was Bruce’s third MVP award for the tournament.
The result is pure heartbreak for Jamaica.
“The Diamonds came into this game under immense pressure,” commentator Sue Gaudion said.
“They’ve take it away from Jamaica.
“Everyone thought Jamaica were here to win this.
“The dreams of Jamaica have been broken.
“Your heart goes out to the Jamaican girls. They’ve done nothing wrong this tournament.”
The gold medal match between Australia and England will be played from 2am AEST Monday morning.
