DORNA has released a 25-bike entry list for next year’s MotoGP World Championship, the regular grid swelling with the return of Suzuki and Aprilia to the sport’s premier class.

Rising stars Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales will ride the new Suzuki GSX-RR, while Gresini Racing has retained Alvaro Bautista as they begin a four-year partnership with Aprilia.

The seats at the other factory squads remain largely the same, with Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa staying at Repsol Honda HRC, and Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi sticking with the Movistar Yamaha team.

The only significant change occurs at Ducati with Andrea Iannone promoted to the factory team alongside Andrea Dovizioso, the Italian replacing Cal Crutchlow who will ride a Honda for Lucio Cecchinello Racing.

Moto2 world champions Marc VDS Racing Team will make their long-awaited step up to MotoGP, reuniting with former rider Scott Redding to run one of four factory-spec Hondas on the grid.

World Superbike racers Eugene Laverty and Loris Baz have landed rides in the prototype world championship, the Brit taking Hiroshi Aoyama’s place at the Aspar squad, while the lanky Frenchman takes the second seat alongside Honda outcast Stefan Bradl at NGM Forward Racing.

With Hector Barbera already carrying the No. 8, Jack Miller’s Honda will wear the No. 43 when he graduates to MotoGP as Crutchlow’s teammate, the same number he wore as a junior road racer in Australia in 2009 and when he moved to Europe to race full-time in 2010.

Miller is one of just two Australians listed across the provisional MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 entry lists for 2015, with Anthony West set to continue with QMMF Racing Team in the Moto2 class.

Broc Parkes will wave goodbye to the world championship after Valencia with his Paul Bird Motorsport team pulling out of MotoGP at the end of the season, instead focusing on their British Superbike Championship efforts.
