Jack Doohan’s ice cold act as Aussie young gun overtakes F2 rival
Jack Doohan had the motorsport world in stitches after the Aussie young gun hit his rival with an ice cold taunt while overtaking him.
Aussie Jack Doohan hit a rival with an ice-cold move after overtaking him during Saturday’s Formula 2 race at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
Doohan has struggled with bad luck and consistency but finished third in the F2 sprint race in a welcome return to the podium.

The 20-year-old found himself in a lengthy battle with Prema driver Ollie Bearman in wet conditions.
Doohan went off the track and called for Bearman to be penalised for pushing him wide, but soon caught up as the pair resumed hostilities.
Bearman ran wide on lap 17, opening the door for Doohan to overtake him — and the Aussie young gun didn’t miss the chance to hit Bearman with the finger gun wave as he breezed past.
It’s a classic move we’ve seen from the likes of Fernando Alonso over the years, and fans loved seeing it from Doohan.
The commentator said: “I don’t think I’ve ever seen that in FIA Formula 2 before.”

Doohan getting very frustrated with Bearman's defending of third place late in the F2 sprint race, and when Bearman outbrakes himself trying to hold on into Vale he gives him a little wave as the Brit sails wide #F2#BritishGP

Speaking after the race, Doohan said Bearman locking up and going wide was “karma” for the Brit’s aggressive defensive driving.
“I think it was probably my 13th time trying to get past him and he pushed me all the way out onto the double kerb on the exit of Turn 15 under braking, which isn’t allowed,” he said.
“He swerved at me under braking into Turn 15 and to his disappointment locked up, clearly by turning under braking, especially under these conditions, isn’t going to be too great especially when there’s a driver on the inside, [so he] locked up and went off.
“I just did a little wave because I felt karma had come back and unfortunately he lost out.
“We had a gap behind us so potentially he could have slotted into P4 but he lost positions. So I said au revoir my friend and see you later.”
It was Doohan’s first podium since Saudi Arabia in March. It’s been a difficult season for Doohan, who sits ninth in the standings after impressing last year with three wins and six podiums to finish sixth overall.
