Daniel Ricciardo goes public with daughter of former Formula 1 driver

Australian star Daniel Ricciardo has all but confirmed rumours that he is dating the daughter of a former Formula 1 driver.

Australia’s Daniel Ricciardo has all but confirmed rumours he is dating the daughter of a former Formula 1 driver, sharing a series of images of videos of the love interest to his 7.3 million Instagram followers.

Ricciardo is famously secretive about his love life, rarely uploading pictures of partners on social media.

But rumours began swirling in October last year that the Australian was dating aspiring actress Heidi Berger.

And Ricciardo has seemingly taken their relationship to the next level with a romantic social media post that featured a video of them hiking in California.

Berger, currently a student at New York University, is the daughter of 10-time Grand Prix winner Gerhard Berger, who represented Ferrari and McLaren during his 14-year F1 tenure.

Some reports suggest Ricciardo and Berger have been together since 2019.

Ricciardo has previously been linked to Perth-raised model Jessica Gomes, but his most recent public relationship was with high school sweetheart Jemma Boskovich.

“First real post with Heidi,” one fan wrote on his post.

“She official,” another commented.

Meanwhile, Ricciardo’s F1 career is hanging by a thread — the Perth driver will reportedly be replaced by young compatriot Oscar Piastri at McLaren next year following a underwhelming 18 months with the Woking-based team.

Speaking exclusively to Speedcafe.com, Ricciardo discussed how he keeps himself motivated amid the most difficult period of his F1 career.

“There’s certainly a few things,” he said.

“Like, the competition – it has to be one of the only sports in the world where there’s only 20 people that are doing it.

“The competition is such like a small, 0.001 per cent of a group. So to be able to not only be part of that group, but to compete inside that group, that’s such a unique thing in itself.

“And so I love that.

The F1 season returns next weekend with the Belgian Grand Prix, with lights out scheduled for 11pm AEST on Sunday, 28 August.
