Brad Pitt image infuriates Formula 1 world following British Grand Prix

Hollywood icon Brad Pitt has been called out by irate F1 fans after he gate crashed post race interviews following the British Grand Prix.

Brad Pitt may be able to command the attention of a room, but according to some irate F1 fans he can’t read one.

The Hollywood icon was on hand once again during the British Grand Prix as his Formula 1 movie, simply called ‘F1’, draws closer to being released.

But racing fans were not happy with the 60-year-old in the wake of Lewis Hamilton’s record breaking win ahead of Max Verstappen.

As McLaren’s Lando Norris dejectedly spoke about his race that unravelled in the latter stages, it was scenes unfolding behind him that stole the attention.

As Norris cut a dejected figure, Pitt and his co-star Damson Idris could be seen walking into the media area to conduct post-race interviews.

Footage of the duo strolling in just behind Norris quickly went viral as Formula 1 fans mocked the unserious nature of it all.

Brad Pitt crashes F1 interviews

One user wrote: “lando having a heartbreaking interview meanwhile the fake f1 drivers from the goofy movie walking up behind him and doing their interviews I can’t do this shit anymore this sport is so unserious.”

A second added: “some of the drivers having the worst day of their lives while Brad Pitt and damson idris are giving their fake interviews … I cannot.

A third wrote: “imagine you just had a stinker of a race and there’s Brad Pitt right behind you having a fake interview about his imaginary race win.”

A fourth added: “Brad Pitt behind him acting, I’m done.”

Even the drivers weren’t impressed by the sighting of the Hollywood star with Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso left looking perplexed as the actor made his way towards the media.

The first trailer for Pitt’s film, titled F1, was recently released ahead of the British Grand Prix with the film set to be released internationally on June 25, 2025.

Pitt stole the show during last year’s race when he lined up alongside the Formula 1 grid for the national anthem.

In the film, Pitt plays a veteran driver who joins an F1 team represented at Silverstone by a fictional 11th team on the grid, complete with a garage and pit-bay alongside Ferrari.

Using Formula 2 cars converted by Mercedes, the ‘film cars’ took places on the grid for the race and ran in part of the formation lap before the start of the 2023 British Grand Prix.

They were driven by former drivers Craig Dolby and Luciano Bachetta.
