VIDEO: The shortest sporting press conferences ever

WATCH NOW: Quade Cooper has a few challengers for the title of "shortest press conference of all time".

QUADE Cooper offered a wealth of information in his six-second press conference, in comparison to the offerings of some of his sporting contemporaries.

MAL MENINGA

Rugby league legend Mal Meninga was the talk of the town when he announced he was moving into politics.

But sadly, his political career ended before the end of his first interview.

The Origin star looked the part - for about 10 seconds - but became increasingly tongue-tied and eventually declaring "I'm buggered", before walking out of the interview.

RASHEED WALLACE

From the embarassing to the downright bizarre, Detroit NBA star Rasheed Wallace took the points for a post-game interview in which he had the same answer for each and every question.

"Both teams played hard," the Pistons big man said.

Again.

And again.

And again.

DARIUS BOYD

Six questions.

Average length of answer? Just over three words.

Darius Boyd wasn't in the mood for a chat during a St George Illawarra press conference to pump a clash between the Dragons and his former club, Brisbane.

"Did you watch them play last week?"

"Nah, I didn't."

"What are your thoughts on the way the team's going at the moment, Darius?"

"Yeah it was good, ay."

At least his first answer made sense.

JOHN TORTORELLA

You want awkward? We got awkward.

New York Rangers coach John Tortorella was keeping a lot of things "in the room" after his team's 3-2 loss to the New Jersey Devils in this year's NHL Eastern Conference finals.
