NEW York Jets coach Rex Ryan was fined $100,000 by the NFL for using vulgar language in the direction of an opposing player or officials as he walked off the field after the Jets’ 20-13 victory over Pittsburgh.

Ryan was caught on cameras, screaming “f*** you” as he walked off the field after wrapping up the victory.

Ryan’s steep penalty was due to the fact that he is a three-time offender in the eyes of the NFL, having been fined twice in the past for public vulgarities.

He was fined $50,000 by the Jets in 2010 for flipping his middle finger at a heckling fan at an MMA event in Florida.

He was docked $75,000 in 2011 for shouting a vulgarity at a fan as he walked off the Gillette Stadium field at half-time during a game against the Patriots.

Ryan was visibly upset after the game and was caught on camera shouting, but he wouldn’t identify his target.

Asked about his postgame language earlier this week, he joked: “I think I was saying ‘thank you’.”
