Bright, a Mormon whose first marriage broke up last year, was asked about her love life by cheeky snowboarding team colleague, Scotty James, at a media conference in Sochi.

News_Rich_Media: Australia's best medal chance at the Sochi Games, Torah Bright, has raised safety concerns just days out from competition, saying the best in the business weren't consulted when the new courses were created.

"There's a new man in my life - it's exciting," she said.

Asked if he was an Australian, she said, "yeah you could say that ... he runs by the name of hercules".

But the 2010 gold medalist wouldn't reveal any further details, Olympic officials were left scratching their heads.

"Maybe she's got a pet dog," one said.
