Ice hot! The sexiest stars of the Sochi Winter Olympic Games
IS it just us, or are the Sochi Winter Olympics athletes hotter than their summer counterparts? You be the judge...
IS it just us, or are Winter Olympics athletes hotter than their summer counterparts?
Maybe it's the Russian vodka you'll be drinking to keep warm, or maybe it's the surplus of drop dead gorgeous Scandinavians strutting their stuff, but the Sochi Games might just be the most photogenic event in sporting history.
Here are the hottest guys and gals to look out for when the action gets underway on February 7.
ANNA SIDOROVA - RUSSIA - CURLING
Curling just got interesting, thanks to the captain of Russia's women's team.
CLAIR BIDEZ - USA - SNOWBOARDING
Having just missed out on qualifying for the Vancouver Games, Bidez will be making her Olympic debut in Sochi. And if that doesn't work out she's a swimsuit model, too.
BODE MILLER - USA - ALPINE SKIING
Never far from controversy, Miller is equal parts admired and unpopular on the mountain, where he's bragged about partying "at an Olympics level" during a disappointing 2006 Olympic campaign, but also collected a gold medal, three silver and a bronze across three Games.
AIMEE FULLER - GREAT BRITAIN - SNOWBOARDING
Fuller only just made Team GB's contingent for Sochi, but she'll certainly attract her fair share of attention when the slopestyle competition kicks off.
HENRIK LUNDQVIST - SWEDEN - HOCKEY
Not only is Lundqvist Sweden's man behind the mask, he's also the goalie for the New York Rangers and has topped GQ and Vanity Fair's best dressed lists.
TORAH BRIGHT - AUSTRALIA - SNOWBOARDING
Our golden girl will be defending her half-pipe gold medal in Sochi and will also try her luck in slopestyle and snowboard cross after becoming the first boarder in history to qualify for all three events.
JULIA MANCUSO - USA - SKIING
We'll be seeing plenty of Ms Mancuso in Sochi, given she'll be defending her two gold medals from Vancouver.
ROBIN SZOLKOWY - GERMANY - FIGURE SKATING
Along with those looks comes the four world titles with partner Aliona Savchenko and the distinction of being the first pair in history to score a perfect 10 under the ISU judging system.
SILJE NORENDAL - NORWAY - SNOWBOARDING
When you claim that you don't really like riding rails and then obliterate the competition at the 2014 X Games anyway, the rest of the Sochi slopestyle field has every right to be worried about what this 20-year-old might produce.
DAVID WISE - USA - FREESTYLE SKIING
He looks like he's about 12, but Wise is actually a 24-year-old family man with a three-year-old daughter. He's also a US national champion (at age 15) and this year has already won the Winter X Games superpipe competition.
LOLO JONES - USA - BOBSLED
The London Olympian will become the ninth American to compete at both a summer and winter Games, and will have plenty of cameras swinging in her direction, for obvious reasons.
SHAUN WHITE - USA - SNOWBOARDING
Once a ratty kid with ridiculous skills, White is now a two-time Olympic gold medallist and arguably the most successful winter athlete in history. He's actually a pretty good-looking dude these days, too, now that he's cut his famous red mane down to size.
TINA MAZE - SLOVENIA - ALPINE SKIING
Last year's World Cup winner also has a pop music career in the offing after releasing a song in 2012. If she wins, you'll see her performing her signature cartwheels while still wearing her ski boots.
ANNA FENNINGER - AUSTRIA - SKIING
The 2011 Super Combines world chamopion turns heads for more reasons than one.
AKSEL LUND SVINDAL - NORWAY - ALPINE SKIING
Even if he doesn't back up his performance from four years ago in Vancouver, where he won gold, silver and bronze, he'll definitely be on the podium in any Sochi best name competition.
THERESE JOHAUG - NORWAY - CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
It's those damn Norwegians again. Johaug isn't just a pretty face - she currently leads the World Cup and is reportedly known as "Duracell" in skiing circles because of her fast technique and overall speed.
SIDNEY CROSBY - CANADA - ICE HOCKEY
Touted as the man to become the next Wayne Gretzky when he was just 15, the now 26-year-old Crosby scored the winning goal in overtime for Canada in the gold medal game against the USA four years ago. This time around he'll be captain.
VANESSA-MAE - THAILAND - SKIING
She ain't going to win a medal, but Vanessa-Mae will still capture her fair share of attention for two reasons: she's just the third Thai athlete to represent her country at a Winter Olympics and she's also a famous violinist, having released 11 albums and reaching No. 11 on the British charts in 1995.
THE OTHER AUSSIES
ALEX PULLIN - SNOWBOARDING
As one of Australia's hottest medal hopes, the bloke they call "Chumpy" will be front and centre on your screens throughout the Games.
HEATH SPENCE - BOBSLED
Get used to this face, because most of the time it's the only one you'll see out of our two-man and four-man bobsled team. Spence is the pilot for both teams, so it'll be his wide eyes you'll see
poking out the top of the sled.
DANIELLE O'BRIEN - ICE SKATING
Like gymnastics at the summer Games, we all know the broadcasters love ice dancing. So settle in for plenty of O'Brien and partner Gregory Merriman, who are six-time Australian champions.
NATE JOHNSTONE - SNOWBOARDING
If you think 23-year-old snowboarding star Johnstone covers up too much, just wait until summer when he indulges his other passion: surfing. What's going on? The schedule for the games.
