Live: Day four of the Presidents Cup from Royal Melbourne Golf Club
The Americans completed a remarkable comeback on day four in Melbourne to secure their eighth consecutive Presidents Cup win.
After trailing during the first three days of competition, the Americans secured a historic victory on Sunday, during a nailbiting final day in Melbourne.
It’s their eight consecutive Presidents Cup win, and the 21-year drought for the Internationals is set to continue.
Led by inspirational playing captain Tiger Woods, the US turned a 10-8 overnight deficit into Cup glory after dominating Sunday’s singles session.
Wins for Woods, Dustin Johnson, Patrick Cantlay, Xander Schauffele and the maligned Patrick Reed and two halved matches were enough to give the star-studded Americans an unbeatable lead.
What a comeback by the Americans at the #PresidentsCup an epic, epic weekend

Woods beat Abraham Anceer in the opening singles matches for his 27th match victory in this event. Then, he switched from player to captain and watched his U.S. team follow suit.
The board was filled with red American scores for so much of the day as Reed and Webb Simpson won for the first time all week at Royal Melbourne.
The series stands at 11-1-1
‘ABSOLUTE FREAK’: TIGER PUTS ON A SHOW
Tiger Woods’ decision to sit himself out of the Saturday action didn’t go down well with the fans, but the call has paid off with the Team USA skipper leading the emphatic comeback on Sunday.
Entering the final day’s play the defending Presidents Cup champs were down by two points after the International Team had dominated the opening two days.
But as the Sunday action got underway it was clear Team USA were locked in and they quickly put their rivals to the sword.
Woods opened the action and got on top of Abraham Ancer before showing off his extraordinary abilities with a ridiculous putt.
Oh, stop it. ð¤
