The Brooks Koepka-Bryson DeChambeau feud has gone from slow play to body shaming.

The two American golfers have had a biting back-and-forth over the past year, starting with Koepka’s frustration over DeChambeau’s methodical tactics on the course, accusing him of taking too long to get through his rounds.

The anger seemed to simmer down over the past 12 months, but apparently a grudge still exists.

“I don’t know if the genetics makes him look good, to be honest,” DeChambeau, 26, said on video game livestreaming platform Twitch.

“In the ‘Body Issue’ (the ESPN magazine where Koepka posed nude) he didn’t have any abs, I can tell you that. I got some abs. I don’t know if that’s a regulation here on Twitch.”

Koepka, 29, did not let that stand for long. The four-time major champ tweeted a photo of his two US Open and two PGA Championship trophies, all of which he has captured since 2017 as he has risen to become one of the top players in the sport.

DeChambeau became the poster boy for slow play last year and Koepka lashed out at players taking too long to hit their shots, saying it would drive fans away from golf.

“It seems now that there are so many sports psychologists and everybody telling everybody that they can’t hit it until they’re ready; that you have to fully process everything,” Koepka said.

“I mean, I take 15 seconds and go, and I’ve done all right. So I don’t understand why they’re taking a minute-and-a-half.

“Sometimes they might be trying to decide what club to hit ... well, you’ve had a day to think about it, and it’s pretty clear what the tee shot is.

“A lot of times it’s (slow play) on the simpler shots. The difficult ones, you already know what to do with it, but it’s the simpler ones where guys seem to take their time.”

Both Koepka and DeChambeau are in the field for the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship this week.
