AUSTRALIA'S leading amateur golfer Daniel Nisbet steered Yarra Yarra to the Golf Victoria division one pennant.
The Queenslander capped a perfect season, defeating Victorian state player Geoff Drakeford 3-and-2 to secure Yarra's 4-3 victory over Commonwealth at Peninsula Golf Club.
Ben Rogers, Ryan Woodward and Daniel Pearce also won their matches for Yarra Yarra, which won its ninth top-flite pennant and first since 2007.
The womens division one final between Kingston Heath and Heidelberg was decided on the final hole in the No. 1 match between Victorian state player Grace Lennon and 2011 Australian amateur champion, Ashlee Dewhurst.
With matches tied 3-3 and the players all-square heading down the 18th, Lennon played an amazing pitch to 1m and the resultant birdie gave Kingston Heath its fifth win and first since 2005.
