AFTER an “inconsistent” season at his club Austria Vienna, Socceroos midfielder James Holland says he is looking to make a move - but only if the right opportunity presents itself.
The 25-year-old joined up with the Socceroos squad on the Central Coast on Saturday night, but was restricted to a light training session in front of fans after a long season in Austria, which included participation in the UEFA Champions League.
Holland wasn’t overly satisfied with his own form in a difficult year that saw Austria Vienna surprisingly fail to qualify for Europe.
“I wasn’t feeling as good as I did last year and the team wasn’t performing as well,” Holland said.
“Last year everything flowed, which made my job a lot easier. This year I had to work a lot harder and I guess it was just a mixture of things.
“In the last two months I felt like I played really well, but other than that I felt I was really up and down and in patches I was good, in patches I was bad.

“I’ve still got one year left on my contract, but personally I’d probably like to make a move.”
But Holland isn’t keen to sign elsewhere just for the sake of it, which is why he hoping to catch the attention of other clubs if he is selected for Brazil.
It’s an added motivation to make the final 23-man squad, which will be finalised by coach Ange Postecoglou on June 2.
“In football your whole world can change in 24 hours,” he said.
“The World Cup can give you that opportunity and present you with some good opportunities potentially, so hopefully it comes to fruition.”
Likely Socceroos captain Mile Jedinak was another arrival in camp on Sunday as players gradually trickle in from all over the world.
Tim Cahill, Matthew Spiranovic, Matthew Leckie and Ben Halloran all linked up with the squad in Terrigal on Sunday night, while goalkeepers Maty Ryan and Mitch Langerak are expected this week.
