After watching his teammates come from behind to lead 2-1 with 16 minutes to go, the hapless Frenchman put the ball in his own net, with a bit of help from teammates Per Mertesacker and Wojciech Szczesny.

The title was probably already beyond them before the two dropped points, but Flamini’s howler at the Emirates might have driven that final nail in the Gunners’ title coffin.

Hull couldn’t recover from James Chester’s own goal at West Ham.

Hull City’s James Chester scored a perfectly placed chip against West Ham United on Thursday morning, there was just one problem … he put the ball in his own net.

If Flamini’s error was the result of being in the wrong place at the right time, Tigers defender Chester had no one but himself to blame.

Like Flamini’s, his error proved costly as the Hammers picked up all three points with a 2-1 win.
