The emotional moment a football fan met her Matildas icon Sam Kerr has been captured on camera.

The video shared to TikTok shows the young woman sobbing as she gets her picture taken with the Australian forward.

“That time I got a photo with Sam Kerr and reacted like the adult I am,” text on the video reads.

“This is what women’s sport means to me.”

The fan turns to the camera with tears rolling down her face, as her friends try and console her.

“Oh my god, oh my god!” the person filming says. “Oh my god.”

It comes as the Matildas prepare to take on France in the quarterfinals on August 12.
