Sam Kerr and partner Kristie Mewis have melted hearts with a social media upload showcasing their time together during the World Cup.

Matildas skipper Kerr and US player Mewis continually left fans swooning over their embraces throughout the tournament.

Mewis closely followed the Matildas and Kerr after Team USA was knocked out of the World Cup at the hands of Sweden in the round of 16.

Now the two have set hearts racing with a series of photos showing off their hotel adventures as the tournament unfolded in Australia.

Mewis, 32, uploaded three photos and a short video to her personal Instagram account, captioning the post “You and me x2”.

Kerr, 29, commented under the post with “Chronicles of hotels we’ve stayed at together continues” and in a separate comment next to a red heart emoji wrote “You forever”.

The loved up couple melted hearts online.

Fans commenting on the post couldn’t hold back their love for the football couple.

The outpouring of love comes weeks after Mewis shared an intimate tattoo tribute to the Aussie with a poolside bikini pic in July that revealed a small tattoo which read “baby” on her inner thigh.

In reference to a photo of Mewis’ soccer boots, Kerr commented: “Didn’t make the boots.”

Mewis gave the cheeky reply: “you made my thigh” with a wink emoji, to which Kerr responded: “sccccuzzzzimwa”.

The couple show off their love online.

The footballing power couple went public with their relationship in 2021 after they were spotted sharing a tender moment following USA’s win over Australia at the Tokyo Olympics.

After defeating the Matildas in the bronze medal, Mewis consoled Kerr with a loving embrace on the pitch.

Kerr shared a picture of a Polaroid snap of Mewis sitting on her lap as they enjoyed a passionate kiss, tagging her new girlfriend in the photo, along with a red love heart emoji.

Mewis also went public with the relationship, sharing a selfie with Kerr to her Instagram, featuring the couple pressing their heads together.
