ALEX Brosque’s 50th A-League goal gave Sydney FC a drought-breaking 1-0 victory over Newcastle Jets at Sydney Football Stadium on Friday night.
The hosts had not scored in 306 minutes before Brosque’s fine goal delivered Graham Arnold’s side some welcome relief.
The win puts Sydney FC level on points with Melbourne Victory and Western Sydney on top of the A-League table, with the Jets clinging to their spot inside the top six.
