WESTERN Sydney moved alongside Melbourne Victory at the top of the A-League table with its fifth straight victory.

Having been locked 0-0 at half time against Central Coast, Brendon Santalab came off the bench to give the Wanderers a deserved lead.

Mitch Nichols then sealed the points, despite late pressure from the hosts, as Western Sydney won its fifth consecutive game.
