The 52-year-old made the quick decision to get himself checked out and was admitted to hospital in Sydney.
Bosnich was missing from Stan Sport’s Champions League coverage on Thursday and his on-air colleagues Max Rushden and Craig Foster explained what had happened.
“For those of you who don’t know, he (Bosnich) had chest pains, he’s had a stent put in,” Rushden said during coverage of the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Real Sociedad.
“He was making a lot of noise … and he said ‘I’m going to get it checked out’.
“He did, he’s OK. He’s back tomorrow but we are sending you our love Boz, it is very quiet without you.”
Fellow Socceroo Foster added: “We miss you buddy. I hope you’re well and feeling OK.”
In an excellent development, Bosnich posted a photo on X from his hospital bed late on Wednesday night with a grin and a thumbs up.
Clearly a company man, the larrikin former keeper posted a message along with the time and a load of information of the matches to come on the streaming platform.
“Will not be able to see you all tomorrow morning,” he wrote.
“But will be fine by Friday … but join us here in Oz from 6.35am (aedt).”

Bosnich received a huge number of well wishes after his post and then took to X again on Thursday morning for another post, this time showing himself tuning into the Champions League action on a tablet.
Rushed was keen for any men watching to heed the warning from the man known as “Bozza”.
“If you’re not sure about anything, health-wise, get checked,” Rushden said.
“Men are useless at talking about it and doing anything about it.
“The sooner you find anything is wrong, the better it is. That is our message and that is Bozza’s message too.”
