One of the world football’s finest ever defenders is in Australia this week and will visit three capital cities.

Crucial point after chaotic draw

FIFA World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro will spread the football gospel in Australia this week in his role as an ambassador for Racing City Group.

Cannavaro, who captained Italy to World Cup glory in 2006, will travel to Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney for a variety of functions, appearances and camps.

“We are thrilled to finally welcome Fabio to Australia,” Racing City Group founder Morris Pagniello said.

“His journey as both a player and coach has been nothing short of remarkable.”

Racing City Group owns several lower-division clubs and academies worldwide, and is also involved with player management and football tours.

“We’re a complete football company” Pagniello said.

Among the group’s board members is Perth Glory owner Ross Pelligra.

Former Juventus and Real Madrid defender Cannavaro’s appearances in Australia will include an event with American rap singer Travis Scott on Tuesday night at Melbourne venue Ms Collins.
