FANS have hit out at adidas over its new Manchester United women’s kit, branding it “sexist” and “discriminatory”.
The English Premier League giants revealed their new men’s and women’s uniforms over the weekend — and it was the plunging neckline on the ladies’ version that created a stir.
Seriously @adidas?! why is the V neck so low compared with mens one? Some of us don't like to show cleavage. @ManUtd pic.twitter.com/km4nOPs0nK

@MUnitedGirl @adidas This is a disgrace. Women can't even wear normal looking football shirts these days? FML. Looks nothing like the men's.

What are @adidas trying to say with the ladies design? I call that discrimination. Nike never did that. @ManUtd

@MUnitedGirl I feel the same way tbh. Some of us don't have cleavage to show. Hence the low cut? It's a struggle.

The new kit was unveiled as part of a record-breaking $1.6 billion apparel deal with adidas.
Not all fans were upset.
Wow they actually released a women's shirt this year! About time tbh. #ManchesterUnited #Adidas

When actually on a model, the neckline does not appear to be overly low either.
Both the men’s and women’s kits feature a classic three-stripe design that Manchester United group managing director said “draws upon the club’s iconic kits of yesteryear”.
